WHO WE ARE.
Vegan Business Center was established in 2018 by entrepreneurs with the intentions of making the world a better place. We strive to empower small business to have a strong influence in their communities by making choices that customers and clients can feel proud to support.
According to an article in Forbes Magazine by Katrina Fox, “The plant-based revolution is here to stay. Make sure you don’t get left behind.” Our team intends to help new vegan businesses become established and successful to positively impact the communities they interact with, as well as to support small businesses who wish to transition to using more sustainable business strategies.
Starting a new business can be daunting without having prior experience and being entrepreneurs ourselves, our team understands the challenges involved with getting a business off the ground. The VBC entrepreneurial team connected in the summer of 2018 through a discussion about the continuously growing success of vegan businesses. Our team currently consists of a small group of dedicated volunteers who empathize with new business owners and wish to collaborate to strengthen the movement of creating healthy, compassionate, and environmentally sustainable communities. Our team at Vegan Business Center now works diligently to partner with other like-minded organizations to continue increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of a collaborative mission to make the world a better place.

MEET OUR TEAM.
PJ and Veronica Perez founded What the Dough, a Central Florida based vegan pizza and cinnamon roll business to raise money toward starting the Vegan Business Center initiative. Through selling their tasty treats at Orlando’s Solutionary Peace Walk & Festival in June 2018, the couple connected with Jenna Bardroff and Kevin Layton, volunteers of the non-profit organization Solutionary Events. They also connected with the emcees of the event, Royce Ashcroft and Imari Spigner, founders of Noor XVII, a vegan entertainment network that specializes in hosting mixers, photoshoots and fashion shows! VBC now works closely with What the Dough, Noor XVII, Solutionary Events, District at Mills 50, and Vegetarians of Central Florida, as well as various business venues for event coordination.
